RÚV has a dedicated collection of programmes with English subtitles on its own platform. This is useful for a mixed-language household, but does not establish English subtitles for every title or for a separate IPTV source.

Use Atlantic/Reykjavik. Iceland stays on UTC throughout the year, so copying a Copenhagen or London setting can put the guide out of step. Check automatic time before adding an offset.

  1. Decide which programmes need Icelandic audio and which need English subtitles. Ask about named titles rather than assuming every programme is translated.
  2. Check Atlantic/Reykjavik on any imported streaming device. Compare the guide against the same programme’s published schedule.
  3. Search for an Icelandic title with accented letters, save it to Favourites and check that the title remains readable after reopening the app.
