PlayStation 4 / 5 — Setup Guide

Watch IPTV on your PlayStation console using the Plex media server or the built-in web browser.

Setup Steps

Download and install the Plex app from the PlayStation Store. Plex is free.

Step 2: Set Up Plex Server on PC

Install Plex Media Server on your Windows or Mac computer. Add the IPTV plugin and configure it with your World Media Server M3U URL.

Step 3: Connect PlayStation

Open Plex on your PlayStation and sign in with your Plex account.

Step 4: Access IPTV Channels

Navigate to your IPTV channels through the Plex interface.

Alternative Method: Web Browser

The PS4 and PS5 have a built-in web browser that can access web-based IPTV players:

  1. Press X on the PlayStation home screen
  2. Open the Internet Browser
  3. Navigate to a compatible web-based IPTV player
  4. Enter your M3U URL to start streaming

Tips

  • A wired Ethernet connection is strongly recommended for smooth streaming
  • The Plex method requires a computer on the same network
  • PS5’s web browser is more capable than PS4’s for IPTV streaming
  • Consider using a dedicated streaming stick (Fire Stick, etc.) for a better experience
